The Vashon Island Time Exchange website works with the Google Translate Extension. If you don't already have this installed in your Chrome Web Browser, here are instructions to add it in order to use the Time Exchange in your language.
- Open Chrome (the Web Browser)
- Click this link to add the Chrome Translate Extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-translate/aapbdbdomjkkjkaonfhkkikfgjllcleb/related
- Once installed, activate it by:
-
- Clicking on the Extension icon to the right of the address bar above (the icon looks like a jigsaw puzzle piece - see red arrow in graphic below.) This gives you a Drop Down Menu.
-
- In the Pop Up Window, click the icon of the TACK (or PIN) to "pin it" to your Extension Bar.
- Now you have activated the Translation tool and a second icon - a blue box with a tiny G - appears next to the Extension icon (see red arrow below).
- Go to the Vashon Island Time Exchange webpage.
- In the upper right of your screen, click once on the blue Google Translate icon
- In the Pop Up Window, click the blue text "Translate this Page"
- On the upper left of the webpage, a Translate bar appears (see screenshot below); enter the language you'd like the page translated to.
- If you have any trouble with this, please email time@vashonresilience.org for assistance.
